Lancashire Mind's committed and energetic team are passionate about making a difference to the mental health of people living and working in Blackburn with Darwen.  

Wellbeing coaching

Wellbeing Coaches run one-to-one sessions, delivering low-intensity interventions to help you build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and improve your wellbeing and quality of life. Sessions involve guided self-help, utilising interventions such as goal setting, thought challenging, diary planning, relaxation and breathing techniques.

BBO - Changing Futures

A programme that supports you in understanding your abilities, skills and interests as well as to identify and address any barriers around getting into work and/or learning, Changing Futures will:

  • help you access/apply for education or training programmes
  • help with searching and applying for volunteering opportunities
  • help you understand what is important to you in your future job & create a personalised action plan
  • support you to develop a CV and write covering letters
  • give you access to Skills Days
  • support you to increase your confidence, self-esteem and motivation
  • help with job searching and completing job applications
  • help to manage and over-come barriers that may prevent you entering education or applying for a job
