British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter support for the Deaf community in Blackburn with Darwen.

Support for you during Covid-19

Funding has been made available to offer deaf sign language users free translation and interpreting for day to day needs. Whether you need letter translations, phone calls, and help to find out about activities and offers available to all in the borough. It will also offer an opportunity to ask any questions with regards to lockdown and the pandemic.

BSL Come Together aims to:

  • to support the community through Covid-19 by offering Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) for day to day needs
  • work with the group to develop further 'access and inclusion' initiatives and opportunities in the borough
  • provide information about services, events and activities available to support all adults in Blackburn with Darwen
  • raise awareness of the existence of the Deaf community and provide a space where they can also belong
