Age UK Blackburn with Darwen is an independent local charity that has been working in the local community to help older people for over 40 years. They have 40 dedicated staff and over 100 volunteers helping them to deliver services and activities for older people within Blackburn with Darwen.

Support during Covid-19

• emergency shopping provision for anyone who has no other means (the shopping service is free, however goods purchased need to be paid for. Various payment options available including card/ cash payment at your door or by invoice to your home, so that you can pay by cheque / BACS)
• prescription collection and delivery service
• telephone advice and information service
• a wellbeing pack posted to you, these wellbeing packs are full of hints and tips on keeping well and healthy at home, along with puzzles/ word searches and more!
• regular wellbeing calls to anyone who needs them
• provision of a freshly cooked meal for anyone who cannot make a meal themselves and needs this service
• online social groups (see poster)
