Back To The Mountains...
Care Network's super walking whizz Stephanie has been back in the Scottish Highlands, supporting her friend Jane in completing the last 2 days of her West Highland Way fundraiser.

The West Highland Way is a long-distance walking route in Scotland covering 96.5 miles starting in Milngavie, just north of Glasgow, running all the way up to Fort William. Stephanie completed this amazing fet just 8 days in June, raising over £2,000 for our organisation in the process!

Jane had to pull out of the original challenge due to an infected toe nail and very painful blisters. However, determined to complete the challenge, she and Stephanie returned over the weekend to hike the final 2 day stretch together - starting from Glencoe, heading over the Devil's Staircase into Kinlochleven on day 1, then on to Fort William and the finish line on day 2. In true Scottish style, their hike was met with wind, rain, mud, rainbows and dramatic skies on the first day, then glorious sunshine and blue skies on the second day!

All of us here at Care Network would like to say a huge congratulations to Jane on completing the challenge and a very big well done to our collegue Stephanie for retracing her steps in support of her friend! A true inspiration to us all!
