Newground Together

Newground Together work across Blackburn - at their main Newground building on Bolton Road, at the town centre Employment Hub, at the Shadsworth Hub and out in the community.

The team offer lots of ways to support you into (or back into) work.

They are returning to Care Network Hub from this month, with a weekly employment support service offering guidance and advice for anyone who is 16+ years.

The Newground Together drop in service at Care Network Hub offers:

  • A 4 day employability training course which covers, communication, confidence building, teamworking, communication, positive behaviour at work

  • Support with job searching and CV writing

  • Supporting you in becoming more active in your community

  • Access to Learning & Qualifications inc Maths Level 1 or 2 and ICT

  • Support in applying for your Job Seeking benefit – Universal Credit

  • Employment support, including: CVs, job applications, interview techniques and careers advice

Who Can Access This Service?

Local residents that are eligible to work (i.e. those with a National Insurance Number, British Passport, BRP Card, Driver's Licence, Birth Certificate etc, and a letter confirming your address) can access this service.
