👥 Our Meeting

• 👏 55 people came to the meeting

📋 What We Did Today

We had talks, fun activities and music 🎶

 

💃 DanceSyndrome

• 👩 Emma and 👩 Becky told us about DanceSyndrome
• 🗣️ Becky spoke about being an advocate
• 💃 We all joined in with fun dances
• 😊 Everyone enjoyed it

 

📊 Research Project

• 👩 Francesca Ribenfors spoke to us
• 🧠 Topic: Complaints in Adult Social Care
• ❓ We talked about:
• What is a complaint?
• Why complaints matter
• How to help people speak up
• 💬 People said:
• Sometimes people do not believe them
• 📣 Francesca:
• Answered questions
• Asked people to get involved
• Will give updates

 

🤟 British Sign Language

• 👩 Lauren Harvey taught us some signs
• ❓ We asked questions
• 🏠 She told us about the Deaf Village

• 👨 Mark Shackleton spoke to us he has a Learning Disability and Autism
• 💼 He has 2 paid jobs – 1 with People First and 1 with NWTDT Pathways
• 📚 He helps with training
• 💬 He answered questions about:
