Stephanie's Care Network Fundraiser

Walking The West Highland Way for Care Network

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Project & Business Development Coordinator, Stephanie, will be walking the West Highland Way this June, raising funds to support our work here at Care Network!

The West Highland Way is a long-distance walking route in Scotland covering 96.5 miles starting in Milngavie, just north of Glasgow, running all the way up to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. The route typically takes 7-9 days to complete. Stephanie and her friend Jane plan to complete it over 8 days, starting their first walking day on the 17th June 2022.

The Route

This stunning walking route covers a gruelling 96.5 miles over challenging Scottish terrain, taking Stephanie and Jane through spectacular countryside, where they will be able to take in the breathtaking views of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. From here they will head up towards the Bridge of Orchy and through Glen Coe, with the final leg of the journey taking them to Fort William.

Stephanie & Jane's Walking Plan (walk over 8 days):
  • Day 1 - Friday 17th | Walk from Milngavie to Drymen (12.5 Miles)
  • Day 2 - Saturday 18th | Walk from Drymen to Rowardennan (15 Miles)
  • Day 3 - Sunday 19th | Walk from Rowardennan to Inverarnan (13 Miles)
  • Day 4 - Monday 20th | Walk from Inverarnan to Tyndrum (12 Miles)
  • Day 5 - Tuesday 21st | Walk from Tyndrum to Inveroran (9 Miles)
  • Day 6 - Wednesday 22nd | Walk from Inveroran to Kingshouse (10 Miles)
  • Day 7 - Thursday 23rd | Walk from Kingshouse to Kinlochleven (9 Miles)
  • Day 8 - Friday 24th | Walk from Kinlochleven to Fort William (16 Miles)

Support Stephanie - Donate Today

This is the first fundraising event we have ever run at Care Network. We are incredibly proud of Stephanie for taking on this amazing feat. Please help to support her in achieving her fundraising goal this spring, by kindly donating.

Any amount you can donate makes a huge difference, with all funds raised being reinvested back into our charity and the work we do to support our local community in Blackburn with Darwen.

Stay posted with us for updates on Stephanie's training, walking tips, routes and of course, her fundraising total!
