Working Together To Tackle Fuel Poverty

At Care Network, we work closely with the Cadent Foundation, who are one of our partners & fund some of our projects to support local people in BwD. They recently launched their Winter Support Fund for a second year, which is designed to reach the most vulnerable in our communities.

Our Chief Executive (James Hadleigh) & Debbie Summersgill (Operations & Services Manager), attended the first Cadent Vulnerability Conference in London during October. The event was focused on how Cadent support vulnerable people, specifically with energy efficiency. 

We know that the cost of living crisis is still impacting many lives, with 60% of people in the UK more worried about their energy bills this year compared to last.

The Winter Support Fund from Cadent may not be a long-term solution, but from listening to local people's needs - the Cadent Foundation & Care Network hope this will help to provide some relief at home for some of the most vulnerable local people in BwD.
