Independence at home

Mrs R is a carer for her husband and has anxiety and epilepsy. She has been using Care Network services since 2006 and very much values the support provided by the charity. Mrs R says using the safe, quality assured trades people she accesses through the safe trader scheme takes the worry away of getting a job done, has helped her to maintain her home, and more importantly, has helped her and her husband continue to live independently in their home.

Over the years Mrs R has had numerous building jobs carried out, doors fixed, her fence replaced and has had a regular fortnightly window cleaner service. She complements the ‘excellent’ traders on their reliability, their fair price and the positive impact using the services has had on her health and wellbeing. She says just ringing one number makes the upkeep of their home a lot easier to manage.

Health and Wellbeing

Mrs R reports that her health conditions have improved as a result of using Care Network services;

I used to lie awake worrying about work which needed doing on the house, having had bad experiences of workmen I found in the yellow pages, with Care Network I have had good experiences and am confident about using their services. I sleep better so my health conditions anxiety and epilepsy have improved.
