Emergency Credit Fuel Vouchers for Pre-Payment Meters A COVID-19 Crisis Fund from Care Network’s Healthy Homes Project Care Network has emergency credit fuel vouchers for people living in Blackburn with Darwen who have a pre-payment meter. These emergency vouchers are to prevent people from having no gas and/or electricity and support better health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the voucher scheme is available via professional referral only and cannot be promoted directly to the public nor can Care Network receive self-referrals. Vouchers are available until 30 October. £28 for individuals and couples £49 for families Eligibility criteria Residents in Blackburn with Darwen who; have a pre-payment meter and are not able to afford to purchase a top-up for gas and/ or electricity and have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, due to; a loss of income or increased fuel usage due to more time at home or experiencing increased vulnerability due to the virus and/ or its wider economic or social impacts. For residents who only use an App, a key or card would need to be applied for. This scheme is not suitable for anyone with fuel debt in excess of the voucher amount. Care Network’s Healthy Homes Officer will contact your client the fuel voucher code will be sent to them (by text message or email) the client takes the code to their usual outlet to redeem using their pre-payment key or card The more demand we can demonstrate for the voucher scheme, the more likely additional funding will become available to support people throughout the winter months.
