Care Network works very closely with Blackburn with Darwen Carers Service who provide support for ‘unpaid’ family members or friends who support a loved one with an illness or disability. If you are a carer you can pick up a self-referral form or contact the emergency duty team should you need urgent advice or support from Care Network Hub during our opening hours

Many carers do not identify that they are a carer, although they may identify themselves as a concerned other, and can identify that their lives are impacted through a family member or friends illness or disability, such as:

  1. Learning disabilities
  2. Physical disabilities
  3. Mental ill health issues
  4. Drugs and/or Alcohol issues

Blackburn with Darwen Carers Service understands the impact that these issues can have on carers and because of this, the team works tirelessly to identify and support carers and concerned others to ensure they have early help and support without the need for issues to reach a crisis point.
